What is the Residential Zoned Land Tax?

An annual tax of 3% of market value on land on a council's RZLT map. It is self-assessed.

What are the dates?

The liability date is 1 February. The return and payment are due by 23 May.

My home is on the map. Do I pay?

Existing homes and their gardens are generally out of scope even if mapped. Check with Revenue.

What is the draft 2027 map?

The draft of next year's map. It can change before the final map, which councils publish by the end of January.

Why is my parcel not here?

The national file may be incomplete for some councils. Check your council's own map.
